Smile Hi from Port-Cartier, Québec

Hello everyone, I'm Thidj (teed-j) and I'm very looking forward to make my first EV. I'm gathering a lot of ressources and knowledge to make my dream come true this summer 2010. The electric car concept is really unknown where I live. I don't necessarily want to be the first to have an EV but I can't wait to see the faces of gascar-sold people not hearing my car at red lights and I want to change the course of things as you already done with me. My girlfriend and me are currently struggling under the pressure of a 305 V8 GM van and a wierd 3l V6 overconsumer.
I consider that my mission on Earth will be completed when I have taught enough ppl how to make their EV.
I'm a great fan of ecomodder.com I like to ecomod my newly bought 1st house and I'm french, canadian French.
I wish the best to y'all, especially to Ecomodder.com because it will save the World!

Goodbye,
Thidj

Welcome, Thidj. I spent a couple of weeks in Franquelin, near Baie Comeau when I was a lad. I hope you can find some parts locally. I managed to get a couple of motors at scrap prices near here, on spec. Are you planning on an in-town runabout? If you want some help using native lumber in the chassis, I'd be glad to help.

Bonjour Thidj -

The closest I ever got to Port-Cartier was almost going to Sept Isles on a sailboat last summer. (But we didn't go - we stayed on the Gaspe side of the St Lawrence.)

I hope you will start a thread to document your project.

Darin
