Honda Civic defrost w/o A/C on

So apparently Honda thinks that the A/C needs to be on ALL the time when the defroster is on, as you are unable to turn it off while in defrost mode....

Until you do this

Works on 7th and 8th gen civics. Defroster works better with A/C on, but if you are just trying to keep it from fogging back up sometimes you don't need the A/C on to dry the air out.

Awesome. I just pull the AC circuit fuse in my Subaru Loyale, except for July-August.

Since I never got heat working back in my IRX, I just used a squeegee. I kept it right besides the fire extinguisher for easy getting-to.

There are two wires that control the electric AC clutch. Splice an appropriatly heavy switch into one of them. Mount this switch in the cabin. It should allow you to turn it off when you don't want it on.

My dad had a compressor lock up in an old truck. He just unplugged the electrical connector on the compressor.
