Well my goals would be to get the farthest the fastest. That aside, I would like to build a vehicle with a at least a 40 mile range. I think range is a little more important than speed. However, 45 to 50 mph would be what I would like to see. I havent run the figures yet to see what kind of motor/batteries would be need for such a vehicle. I guess I assumed a lighter vehicle would be better under most circumstances. And of course funds always play a significant role. All things considered, pehaps a Civic would be the better choice. They are a little bigger but not alot. Maybe about 300-400 lbs. Have the extra room for batteries and there are tons of them out there. Lots of spare parts.
