The good news for fans of the much-loved 1983-1991 Civic CR-X is that the CR-Z should have significantly better performance than the disappointing new Insight, a car that is geared more toward fuel economy than performance. In any case, the CR-Z coupe gets a bump in displacement up to 1.5-liter and – wait for it – a six-speed manual gearbox! This will be the first hybrid with a row-it-yourself six-speed.
One, please.
With the wheel on the left and no passenger-side mirror.
Oh, and yes - I am willing to pay an extra $50 for smooth wheels and rear skirts. That's my version of Full Option
It's nice, but... that grille! Terrible, egh, ble

This isn't going to be a super-mpg machine from the factory. It's going to be a fun little hot hatch that happens to be a hybrid.
Also, that gaping hole in the front end appears to be partially cosmetic. The lower third has a grille block. It's not the final exterior anyway: it needs realistic wheels, larger mirrors, an antenna, more ground clearance, and 5mph bumpers.
How long before a car goes on sale do we see final specs like curb weight, HP, tire size, EPA MPG, price, etc? I figure it'll be nine more months before you can decide if you want one.
I'd like to think that people might open their eyes at some point... instead, I find it more and more likely that I'll just close mine. -- Author kept secret.

I love the look and the MT option, but unless this is priced near $15,000 it doesn't seem very appealing compared to a Prius given the difference in mileage (58mpg versus 77mpg on the JC08) and size.
