honda hx fastback

ok guys let me introduce myself, and my project. My name is John. I recently purchased a wrecked in the rear 1996 honda civic hx. I was inspired by some of the other projects I found while visiting this site. this posting stuff is all new to me and maybe a little over my head. But I'm willing to put forth some effort in order to share this unique build/mod. over the past few weeks I've jumped head first into modding. and already have completed numerious mods. Including a major delete of the entire trunk area. I've got some pics in my album. now I'll try to get them into this thread, because I know a picture is worth a thousand words. Ok first attemp is a failure. Its asking for a url adress ???? I'm accustomed to seeing a browse feature when I try to attach pics any help would be appreciated

I went to your album and it is empty. After you have uploaded a picture, you can click on the picture. That will take you to a page where you can copy-paste the url of the image into your post :

Please do what you need to get those pics up, I'm really interested to see what you've got going on there.

That's the picture I had in my head, Wow. Don't think my wife would let me go through with it. Great work, what kind of FE improvements does it make?

I fixed your post, you had an extra http in front of the http. Here is what I think I am seeing from a template POV :

Talk about making lemonade (aka recovering a crunched HX)!

I see some welding in this car's future!

Driving Lean Burn '97 Civic HX, lotsa mods by now! '89 Volvo 240 is semi-retired. I did love that car though!

if I knew how to weld maybe, initial plan was to boatail, but I'm a little inpatient, so I fixed it enough to keep it drivable. current plan is to fiberglass the fastback design. I'm definetly not committed to it though. I'm intrigued by cfg's input from above. I posses no real engineering degree so if I could maybe get a layman's explanation of what's depicted there. Have you ever seen that HGTV show blog cabin? I'm not saying I'll let the viewers decide on the finish but I'll consider expert, and non expert opinions as to my next step

I also curios about fe numbers unfortunately. I don't have a good baseline to figure any a-b comparisons. I began driving it in a wrecked condition with no back glass and no trunk lid. haven't been patient enough to drive thru a full tank yet. have done some initial checks best hwy yet showed 47.25. I'm about half way through a tank right now trying to hold out till near e. And planning to use it for my baseline starting point to compare to the finished product. I can only imagine the numbers getting better considering the large air dam(rear bumper cover) I'm driving with now.
