Yep, it does have a tach... redlines at 6K with a max at 8K. Looks like a non-VX tach redlines at 6.5K with a max at 9K (based on some browsing through fleabay)

So a new cluster is not much of a priority as your speed info comes from the guino.

True... I'm now getting speed info from both gps and 'guino. So the analog speedo is more a 'nice to have'; having lived with analog ever since I started driving, I find it more ... 'intuitive' (?) ... than the digital speed readouts... but I am adapting.

If I were to find a (very) cheap or free cluster, I'd grab it. Was thinking about putting some LEDs (to indicate lean burn, among other things) and maybe a smaller display for the 'guino in there (for neatness), so was looking for a spare cluster to experiment with anyhow... As I mentioned, I'll prolly grab a cluster next time I stop by the local Pick 'n' Pull / U-pull-it. If I find it at around the same $16 you (bestclimb) did, it'd be worth it.
