Hot air engine on a bicycle

No I haven't done it yet, though I am curious whether anyone has tried it with any measure of success. I know Andy Ross did some work in this area and there is even a photo of one of his bicycles in a book on heat engines; - not that I've been able to find a copy of that particular book yet

Anyone else that anybody knows of who tried doing this?

Edit: The picture of the bicycle is on page 78 of The Stirling Engine Manual by James G. Rizzo

I have heard of RV generators using a Stirling engine. Check the Thomas Register online for power output, fuel type, and weight. Compare cost and performance with a 50cc Honda 4 cycle industrial engine.

A hot air engine on a bicycle would work GREAT for lawyers and politicians!
