Hot Digidy Dawg ....

First full fillup:

369.5 Miles
9.407 gallons

39.28 MPG

Tickled pink. About 100 miles was on 30psi. Beats my best mpg on the RAM by 20 MPG. Upper Grill block today.

Now the RAM

I drove the RAM w/ trailer in tow to our USAC XC MTB event site yesterday ... you can just hear the coins hitting the bottom of the bucket.

I plan about 8-12 out of town trips this year for state, regional and national events (80-450 miles). Probably 3000-3500 miles total. Guess I need to do some aero work on the truck and box trailer. The upper grill block will be a piece of cake. I'm not so sure about getting the drag down on the 6x12 box trailer. Maybe some airtabs would help clean 'er up a bit.

Pictures to follow.

You should start a new thread about cleaning up the aero of your Ram + trailer combo. This might be one case where I'd suggest the addition of a square bed cap on the truck, as a starting point...

The wind load on the 6x12 is killing me. My first thought was nice bed cap ...since I've wanted one for some time.

I'll draft a new thread.

It was worth the Tow $$s today. My first shot at a Regional Race and I made the podium, albeit the second spot. The first guy "dropped me like a bad habit."

I'm learning and adapting

The ScanGuage continues to educate me daily. After last weeks tank, I added a few baffles to reduce the amout of outside air to intake air, thereby raising the IATs accross the board about 10-15degrees on average.

Everything else, including continued monitoring of right foot remained consistent. Ambient air was a bit warmer this week, up around 8-10degrees during driving times, but RH was 20-50% down appreciably from previous cold damp weeks.

41.26 mpg. Up almost 2 mpg from two weeks ago. Getting closer to a 40 mpg 90 day average!

I doubt it can't be all IAT mods, but I'm not complaining.
