1000 a month just to work and back. During school months, I go about 1400 additional a month downstate and back for my daughter. Summertime is about 450-700 additional compared to 1400.

Too much driving at the moment. Have to do a 500 mile round trip to the Bay Area every couple of weeks, so that adds 1000 miles each month. That should change soon, with luck, which should get me down to 500/month or so.

2700 per month, commuting to and from work alone.

It looks so... I don't know, ridiculous when I see it in black and white, so from now on I am going to not look :-)

I average around 900 a month lately. It depends. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Over the past 7 years or so, through four different vehicles, I think I average around 10k a year. I went through a spot a few years back where I was commuting 70 miles each way for about three months, then about 50 miles each way for 6 months. Before my girlfriend moved in with me two years ago, she lived 100 miles away. We go to Buffalo (50 miles from here or so) about twice a month, and probably go out to her family about every other month on average. I do most of the driving, because her Intrepid has no AC, only gets 28mpg on the highway, and demands synthetic oil (sludge issue on the 2.7L), so the less we drive it, the better.

My first year owning the car May2007 -> May2008 was 25000 miles so it worked out to around 2k a month.
