Yes, it does hold up well so long as you seal up the leading edge with packing tape, sign vinyl, something like that. Don't use the kind of duct tape I did here. In extreme heat the glue breaks down and I did have an incident where the wind got under it and pulled back some of the coreplast. Now that I have it sealed with vinyl I have had no problems for months and months and months through all sort of weather and driving conditions.

I did do some new stuff yesterday that I think people will like but i'll need some time to download the pics and write it up.

What is sign vinyl??

As for packing tape = clear packing tape = it won't wreck your paint?? Or is the car's finish expendable now??

Yeah the metros one generation before mine that were xfi's can break 50 pretty easy. Mine is a 3 cylinder but it's an LSI and a generation newer which makes 40 it's more regular spot. My 3 tank average is 49.95 right now so that tank is looking even better and not just a one time thing. I keep it to about 55 though I occasionally pulse and glide between 65 and 50.

The other day I took it up to 85 to catch up to a big wind breaking vehicle on a long freeway trek. It was amazing how quiet and well it handles that speed with all this aero. Previously the car would scream in protest as all three cylinders worked their tails off but it seems like now that is no trouble for the car at all.

Here is a link to a writeup I did about sign-vinyl - it's pretty awesome (the vinyl that is, not my writeup)

You know I used packing tape to secure my front fender splatts which were a super ghetto cardboard monstrosity. I was really nervous about doing it because I was sure the packing tape would be bad for the paint. I had every intention of removing them very quickly but they ended up on the car for 3 months. I removed one yesterday and I gotta say it came off pretty clean and easy. My paint is in decent shape so it doesn't want to come off but I was surprised anyway. I'd bet if you removed it carefully, maybe used a heat gun, packing tape could be an ok option even though my reaction was pretty much the same as yours

Mine doesn't have a window, but it is a one-piece coroplast. I've had this setup for 2 years with now issues.
