I was heading to my car to leave and glanced down and noticed I could see _under_ the tire. The tire contacting the curb was only about 1/2" wide. 50psi

Has 44psi rating on sidewall, but they're holding up without any problems

I run 50 PSI in 35 PSI tires... Still don't have problems.

There is a thread somewhere on here for the debate about tire pressures though.

Very dangerous to inflate them that much over the recommended psi.

That statement should be burdened with many conditions about when it is dangerous and such. He has obviously made his own personal choice and he's not advocating it here so you don't need to rebut.
