Leave it to the innovation of Burt Rutan's company Scaled Composites to come up with another leading edge aircraft configuration. This one is new however, it can be driven like an automobile too, a new direction for Rutan.
In addition, it uses hybrid technology for propulsion. I was sad to read Mr. Rutan retired in April of this year. I bet we will still see things come out of Scaled that Burt has had a hand in designing.

When I first saw the 367 Bipod design, I was shocked and very flattered at the same time. To think I might have a couple of neurons which might work similar to the mind of Burt Rutan, I am very flattered. I include a couple of copies of renderings I did for a flying car concept back in July of 1993.
It is one thing to draw a picture, it is altogether another thing to bring that picture into reality.
