So did they actually use the plane's carcass to house the restaurant? Or is the building next to it the restaurant, and the plane is ornamental/tourism?

I think they gave up on it, that building I belive is a Lands End outlet store, It's been quite a while since I went there and the airport in closed/abandoned so you can't fly there anymore (too many crashes), at the left of the map veiw youl see a path of what looks like trees, thats really a ravine. The runway sloped DOWNHILL!!!!. Lets just say it was "challenging". Electric power lines next to the road at the other end.

I wonder what they served inside a military plane for food.... K-rations? C-rations? LOL. No wonder the restaurant failed!

./sarcasm -off

I can tell from the map view that the runway looks to be a barren strip of land... almost looks like it's been populated by a trailer park... can't really make out what the little "buildings" to the immediate sides are.

.
Notice it says the threshold of runway 30 is 85ft higher than runway 12, meaning thats how much pitch downhill it was. A real bear to get in man!

heh.. I'd just like to get ahold of an old airstrip around here to open a better drag strip... nothing around here is a pleasant sighting.
