I uploaded a short one with the camera mount cushioned more - seems more stable.

one nice line change and the scangauge works very nice there. When the rpm data is there you can see the change points more easier. Too bad my lupo does not work with add on gauges. Its pretty weird to drive when your camera shoots forward and you missing the visibility from rearview mirror.

Is the audio track missing or is the fault in my computer?

The mount is behind the rear view on mine so it takes up as little space as possible, and the phone is flat. The only problem if that I can't see / touch the controls so I have to setup the camera beforehand and then try and mount it without touching the screen anywhere otherwise it turns off / pauses / shows the options screen / decides I want to send video by text / something else random...

I took the Audio out to make the video smaller, and you get to miss out on my squeeky voice

Very nice driving. I think that killswitch should be like that it would pop up immediately after use?

Looks like a normal switch re-used to bypass the ignition ? If so thats neat but I agree, if you forget to switch it back - or even if you hit it by mistake ?

Maybe if a push-to-break switch could be placed under the cover ?

Awesome videos guys! This is exactly what I was picturing when I started this thread. Thank you very much. I'm sure I'm not the only one benefiting from watching accomplished drivers in action.

Happy New Year everyone!

the killswitch is for the injektion and so i have some more possibilities. warming up, without wasting fuel, extended "schubabschaltung" (don´t know the word, maybe "overrun cut-off") and engine brake, deeper than idle.

this vid shoes 2 of them.

some times i forgot the switch, and thats not always funny, but after some month of use, the usage is geting into flesh and blood, and errors become rare.
if i ever want to change to a hold only button, a simpel distance hose under the button will do the job.
btw, cutting the injection has a drawback to cutting the ignition: the engine is out of fuel imidiadly and it needs a little more time to restart. but the benefits are clearly in the majority...
Google translate has that as "fuel cut-off", which I think we can get

Do you have details on how it is wired up ?

(note some words above missing from original post, the video link ate them ?)

of course, i did it myself.
the switch is an opener. the whole MPI is powered over a relais. the relais ground is connected to the ECU. this line ist cut open and the switch is inbetween. thats all.

the restart installation is not mutch more complicated. a normal car relais drives the starter. relais coil ground goes to a contact at the alternator. relais coil + goes to a clutch switch, further to a throttle switch, further to a service switch and than to switched power. thats it, basically. the black box, shown in the vid, is for batterie and first start supervision.
