I can beat EPA at 80 + MPH

I took a little jaunt yesterday for 4 hours. I was running late so did a pretty consistent 75-85 MPH with a couple jaunts to 99 MPH just to see how fast it would go (in mexico of course I still managed 43 MPG in my little festiva.

Thank god for aeromods.

They'll top 105 stock. Especially a manual.

Mine could do 163

Nice.

I see your sig. I am just curious, why turbo a Festiva? They are great for MPG, but not exactly the first thing that comes to mind when I think of performance. Was this a planned car??

Then again, a 163 mph Festiva is way cooler than a Craigslist Honda Civic with pink spark plug wires and a fart can muffler!

Your garage entry only shows that you're missing a passenger side mirror, what other aero-mods have you done to it?

Need to update the garage I guess.

Rear wheel skirts
Kammback
Partial underbelly
Moon caps for all wheels
Grill block.

Think that's about it.

Seriously? I found the steepest hill I could and floored it down for over half a mile. Never could break 99. On flat ground, I couldn't break 94.

My engine is pretty old though. It may be lacking in the horsepower department.

163...kph?

I don't even know what my Echo will do, other than that in top form it will maintain 75-80 with less (engine) fuss than the wife's Kia. I'd say it'll do 110.

It was sweet for sure. Though I was still sad at the pump because it wasn't over 50 MPG.... It truly is relative.

I'm excited to finish the underbelly and retest. I would love to be able to do the 75 MPH speed limit here and still get over 50 MPG. I'm not sure how plausible it is but since I met my goal of 60 MPG at 60 MPH, I have to have something to shoot for.
