I got a 104 mpg tankfill!!!!!

I refilled my Ninja 250 streamliner today, 194.1 miles traveled and 1.86 galllons to top it off for a 104.35 mpg tankfill!! I am very pleased with the rapid progress of this project and am looking to be much more competitive in the next Vetter Challenge. My modififcations are working great. Thanks again for all support and advice from my friends here.
all the best , Low& Slow

Nice job,

Was this hypermiling or under Vetter conditions?

Kirk, This was just normal running around; a mix of city and freeway . My freeway speeds were 65 to 70 mph. Pretty close to Vetter Challenge conditions except the Challenge offers the benefit of being a single long run vs. multiple short trips as in this tankfill. I'm encouraged because I still have more room for improvements and I've already accomplished a major goal.

Frank, Thank you! Is the Goldwing your only moto or do you have something smaller?

I've got too many- surprise, surprise!

The GoldWing is a pig and even hypermiled and modded like a fiend I don't see it breaking the 50's. As it is, it's solidly in the 30's- my car does better. Lots of built-in inefficiencies in this unit.

The SilverWing is less of a pig, usually good for upper 40's, maybe lower 50's if all goes well. It might respond to aero work a bit but it's impractical to regear (shaft drive) and it's heavy for it's size. No 100 Club in this thing's future.

The V-Max... fuel economy? What's that? This thing is for peeling my eyelids back and giving me blurry tunnel vision. I love it.

Nice Work !!!

I looked at the Ninja's page
Details: L&S' Ninja 250 - 1999 Kawasaki Ninja EX250F 250 Ninja R Fuel Economy - EcoModder.com
for a list of mods. Can you update the page?
I haven't followed your progress so don't have a clue what you did on the bike.

Wow! Nice going! Best I ever got out of my Honda Reflex 250 was 75mpg. It was a automatic and had a carb so there wasn't much I could to to improve.
