Nice match on the gay color.

Is that the original laminate backing color?

Beware of curb stops, not sure how much flex that material has.

Too stiff and it snaps/cracks, too flexible and it will not keep it's shape.

air dam

looks good!
the kicked out bottom will act like a splitter to get the air around the sides of the nose, and that will help with drag and lift issues of the forward slanting nose.

I painted the laminate gray. It has fake wood grain lines you can see if you get close. I have no idea how well it will do with curbs. It's kind of like a stiff rubber material.

I looked and was surprised to find the mr2 already basically has a full underbody tray, and the lower bumper directs air around the tires. My dam just extends the stock dam about four inches lower.

wow that looks pretty good man!
I had one of those before. pretty bad mpg for a small car. I think adjusting the cam timing alone could really help, considering that the engine makes a lot more high rpm power than low.

Bill Sherwoods Home Page

this page has a TON of 4AGE info.

I'm getting around 35mpg as far as I can tell right now. I think a regear would help the mpg a lot. Some of the other C52 transmission cars have lower ratio gearing.

thats not bad for one of those for sure. I have a 7aFE head laying around from a 7AC build i did for an 83 ae71.

I think that advancing the intake cam a few degrees could really help get the 4age sweet spot into the freeway rpm range. i know they make most of their power at 5000+ when you really rev them up.

i think the 4age LSA is around 116. even reducing it to 112 could make the engine operate more efficiently and with a more natural egr effect.

Very cool lip, it certainly changes the air flow. Bumper lips and diffusers are widely used in autosport, so it's proven with decades of racing.
