If vortex generators worked...

Wouldn't all turtles have them?

Re vortex generators, planes have them, cars have them, birds have them i have them and citroen check out the results from the automaker and ufo's have them, gators have them lizards have them.
Turtles don't have them aas they are a touch too slow to generate any wind except for the release of methane gas............i think they call it flatulence!

I suppose thats what happened here...the rapid release of methane gas and too much aerodynamic resistance. Maybe he should have had vortex generators too.

Nice tortise! i can see aerodynamics in this ancient mariner, they sure may be slow but they have been around longer than man....................maybe that is what we all need to do and that is slow down then we would not have to eat beans for gas.............on the other hand that tortise has great possibilities for solar panels a few vortex generators and voila! flight.............a flying turtle!

Sea turtles are aerodynamic enough to push through water. The horned ridgeback... well... let's just say he doesn't get eaten as much as his other cousins without the armored spikes. Predation is a wonderful specialization enforcer.
