I would just get 1 board and 2 drivers. This would be the simplest way to do it.

What frequency will you be running?

So are you welding with this circuit or powering a tig welder?

I take it you will be using the output of these 2 half bridge's into a high frequency transformer?

Usually, am inverter tig switch's into a transformer at high frequency and uses the duty cycle and inductance of the transformer to smooth the output and shape the output into more of a sine wave.

No I'm using the dc output of our mig/tig/arc welder into the dc bus of the igbts and outputting square wave ac with variable duty cycle to the torch. All the filtering/ foot pedal control will be done with the welder. This JUST inverts the output. simple timing circuit will control driver boards .

Ebay IGBTs, sold as "used in good condition." Uh, yeah.
One of these things is not like the other.

To the sellers credit, they replaced it promptly at zero cost.

The interesting part was opening it up. Death and destruction. I wonder what happened to blow this sucker wide open?
