I'm going to buy a scanguage

I was really wanting to build a mpguino, but really its going to take so much work. I'm going to learn from past projects of mine, htpc/pvr, actually all i can think of. It's too much work to get it to work just right. I mean I'm sure its pretty solid, but I'm sure I'll be happier with a commercial device. It's just going to be worth the hundred dollars to have all that extra ease of use and extra information at hand.

Anyone else in that boat?

Slightly disappointed to see Amazon shipping within 8-9 days and official site within 10. Bummer times.

Hello,

The good news is they charge you only when they ship. I got mine last week, and I'm still calibrating it.

Mine is in the mail. Figured now was the best time to tweak my driving with a SGII before school gets back in session and the roads REALLY get crazy.

Nice to see everyone going the extra (one of the most important ones) mile to improve FE. Just keep in mind that in addition to improving FE, you need to pick the best route. The best route is determined by the cost to get there, not the mpg. You could have a route that gets 20% higher mpg, but if it's 40% longer your costs will be higher. Your ScanGuage will tell help you figure which routes cost you less, once you have them set up.

My mpg could be about 15% higher, if I didn't try to save gas. Ironic.

Yeah, I figured that out finally. I can go down smaller highways to the ladies house and hold a steady 55 with less slowing down and upsetting people driving faster. Not to mention when I'm in the mood I can go 50 mph with no problem.

I'm so excited to get this. Haha.

Good points. Can't wait to see what the SGII will tell me. I have a pretty good idea that I will need to stick to the backroads -- less miles and less traffic -- to get to work/school. But I'll take more time (but how much more?). That's where I need to do some fancy mathing.
