wai on a kia rio worth it?

I was looking at doing a wai on my Rio during the winter time when my car idles its rough compared to summer and my MPG decrease from 32-34 to 28-30 is driving me insane. I plan on buying a 2nd intake hose from a Rio and modifying it to go near the engine instead of by the headlight. I was more wondering if doing this will have a negative effect on my engine or actually give me better MPG.

A WAI won't do anything for a newer car like an '05. I don't know Hyundai/Kia engines but manufacturers have been heating the intakes on economy cars for decades now.

It's perfectly normal to lose some MPG from weather/fuel changes for winter. But idling rough is usually a sign of another problem. Unless there are no codes and it's up to date on maintenance eg. air filter, fuel filter, oil filter etc. In which case it could be a gimmick of the design.
