Industry Alert on Counterfeit DC/DC Converters

Seen this in a trade magazine I get and thought I should pass it along here!

"Aimtec has confirmed that counterfeit versions of its DC/DC converters are being manufactured and sold, by unauthorized distributors, to unsuspecting customers in various regions around the world."

I also suspect those 12 DC to 110 AC converters that plug into the car's electrical sockets have some fakes out there. Rumor has it many of them just start smoking and fry out the moment they are first used.
