Invisible Bike helmet

This is pretty cool. No idea of cost and would only be good for the cooler environments but it is outside the box.

Invisible Bike helmet.

Really neat tech and I could see a market for it....but also the joker in me is trying not to scream "Insta-Mullet!"

Did anyone else notice the guy was hauled up to the speed of the vehicle by his crotch? How well would the helmet have worked if he was wearing bike shorts instead of baggy pants?

I can think of plenty of modes where the first sign of a crash (as far as neck-mounted accelerometers are concerned) is your head impacting pavement / tree / car door / etc.

For now I'll stick to a full face motorcycle helmet. The photos did give me a better idea of where to reinforce my fairing system and whether a retractable reel lap belt might work when I reach 30mph.
