Just saying hello!

Hi, I'm Cam a newbie here. I just recently inherited a 2002 Civic Ex 4dr automatic with a bad trans and 240K from my daughter. I got tired of my new yard ornament, had it fixed and started driving it. With gas at $4/gal. it's growing on me. Cleaned out the accumulated clutter and drove it easy and it got 39 mpg. Now here for more! Great website and hope to meet some of you on here. By the way. How can I change my log in name? It's supposed to be gocamgo1. I know it's got to be an easy fix but haven't had any luck.

Welcome to the site Cam. 39 is pretty good right off the bat with an automatic. What plans do you have for the car? Have you even pumped up the tires yet?

BTW, fixed your name for ya.

Thanks for the greeting

Thanks for the name fix and the greeting Daox. I can't say I'm a complete novice at the FE game. I tend to drive with as little throttle movment as possible and keep brake use to a minimum. I like to conserve momentum. As for mods, this morning I lightened the load by 92.3 pounds and maxed the air pressure on the tires. The tires are old so I'm not going to over inflate them. Future plans include saving up for a scangeuge, tuneup, new tires, more lightening and possibly lowering and a side mirror delete. The nut behind the wheel still needs some adjustment and lightening too! Last note, do you know if the 2002 1.7L civic responds to hot air intakes well? Thanks,Cam.
