Thumbs up Kelly controllers read PB-6 potboxes BACKWARDS

While I was working with my hookups, I noticed when full pack voltage was applied, the controller read full on when the potbox was all the way to the left(throttle off) I took the potbox apart, and turned the pot where it was upside down. Now instead of the throttle hookup pointing up, it points down, moving left to right. It works fine without programing, and I am going to road test my nissan pickup tomorrow. I have the Kelly KDH 9500 and a curtis PB-6. If anyone is having trouble getting their kelly to work with a similar potbox, you can try this, I found it completly by accident. Will try to take pictures of it. Take Care Watt

Yep - the Kelly controller uses a 0 - 5 volt (not ohms) throttle control. A PB6 is zero ohms at stop (will pass 5v) and 5k or so at full throttle (probably less than 1/2 volt - depends on how much power the throttle circuit uses).

Turning the pot over to make it work was an excellent idea!
