I know there are circumstances for everything but I
dont understand how you can forget your child in the car.

Maybe its just me.
(I have a hard time leaving keys, groceries, my wallet)

Not just kids. Dogs have it even worse, because of the fur coats and all the places that have "no dogs allowed" (but hardly ever "no kids allowed", even though dogs are on average much better behaved).
