I didn't read the article (netbook, too small) but did the Ford unintended acceleration make it ? They sold the Explorer here and a few people had that issue but no recall. Instead they stopped selling them and choked spares supplies up so that residuals tumbled to zero making any repairs uneconomic.

Hmm, doesn't look like it. They did have two 4.5 million vehicle recalls for cruise control buttons catching on fire though in 05 and again in 09 .
