Hee hee hee, that must have been what happened to me. I still have it, so maybe I'll crack it open and see if I can solder it back together.

I was pointing out how ODD it was that I had to buy tapes. They are actually for use in a hi-band (S-VHS) format video recorder at a local municipal access cable tv station.
Yeah, I know, weird.

I bought LED accent light a few weeks back and it is just too blue, and too dim for anything. I've tried it in a number of sockets and rooms. Just not happy. But it fits where CFLs don't...

The weirdest thing about your purchase, Ben, was that you bought an American product at Wal-Mart! I didn't know that was possible!

I was really suprised at how bright and NOT blue this one is.
I think it's a big part of consumer acceptance, having it just the right color and brightness. I really thing this one is pretty good.

I am going to check on these tomorrow would make it so I charge my battery for free then. Just by displacing the cost of running 2 of these compared to the others I have now.

I seem to be very sensitive to lighting color. Mismatched lighting color also sets off whther I think a room is bright enough. Drives me nuts to walk into a room and see three or so different colors of light. Especially the CFLs. I think my wife thinks I'm crazy because I bought three boxes of CFLs and went through the house till they sort of matched in each room. I'll try another LED or two, but expect to have to wait a little while longer for their colors to even out and be more bright.

Hiya,
I looked in one of the local WalMarts for these LED bulbs and could not find them. And the one salesperson who I snagged couldn't help me either. And, a search of WalMart.com comes up empty.
Is this an item that an individual store would have in stock, but not the chain?

I don't know exactly how the "chain vs individual store" thing works.
The search feature on Wal-mart.com is terrible! I have never been able to find anything through that.
I was just extremely pleased to find non-overpriced, super-energy-efficient bulbs at a store for the everyman!
Keep your eyes out. I am hoping that this means other stores will start carrying them soon too.
