LeMons Rally Monterey CA Aug 2018

Add to my list of new year resolutions...

For "Black & Green" to "run" it in the LeMons Rally (not race) this year from Monterey CA to Yuma AZ in a week.

Anyone wanna make a team? Make "competing" ecomodder teams? Anyone know where to find a good chicken suit?

Don't they require the car originally cost $500 or less?

The route is almost 600 miles. The round trip would be about 1,800 miles and gas would cost about $120. I could do it.

I might drive 2,446 miles to Tillamook and back and spend time with my niece and nephews. They are quite dear, you know.

Wait, from Monterey to Yuma?! The site says it is a loop starting and ending in Seaside, California!

I think that rule about $500 is just the race, not the rally.

Even though I registered for the free part of this rally, famiky responsibility might keep me from the 450 mile trip. So I scoped a local saturdays car show today, wondering if I could wow and disgust them with my eco-rat before the summer is out. Photos:

I took the images correctly and they display correctly on my devices, so I don't know what's wrong with the EM photo ppstings, but... they all oddly reoriented. Very frustrating. Grrr....

BTW, that red car is a Willys "Aero Eagle," one of the two coolest on the lot (the other being the Hudson ratrod with the wild dual superchargers.

No trip to Santa Cruz for me this year. Gotta be home for school drop off trips. But here are the "winners" of the Michigan event:
