Loud noise when I start my Civic sometimes

Sometimes (maybe every 10th start) when I start the Civic there is this really loud screetchy noise. My mechanics have been closed the past 2 days so I haven't had the chance to call them, do you guys have any idea what it could be? doesnt sound like a belt, sounds painful really

I am no expert, but I am sure more information will be necessary. Most importantly, where is the noise coming from? Can you get someone to start it up for you so you can listen for where the noise is coming from with the hood open?

EDIT: pumps? pulleys?

Black and Green will be rebuilt over decades as parts die--until it becomes a different car. Goal is only 60-70 mpg at posted speeds. I'm not trying for highest possible mileage.

Calculators: standard deviation, Ohms Law, & drag HP losses.
