Mechanic in St. Louis needed

I have some aerodynamic modifications that I want to make to my vehicle, but I'm not skilled enough to do these. How do I locate someone to help who won't rip me off so to speak?

Good question. What do you mean, "I'm not skilled enough"?
I'm in South St. Louis city, and have lots of Coroplast campaign signs and duct tape in my garage. Buy some sheet metal screws and come over; you can use my drill and spare materials!

...of course, I don't know if you have a nice car and want nice aero stuff done, or are on a budget, go all the way track like I am - I have one nice car and one ecomodded car. I only drive my "nice" car a couple of days a month anymore.

To find a good mechanic who won't rip you off. . .

Find something that will take them at most a minute or two to fix with no additional parts and just a little effort and see if they charge you.

I work in a shop and if its a stuck bolt or switch is stuck(and it takes less than 5 minutes) we usually don't charge. The advantage is it ought to be inexpensive even if they do charge and if they don't you found the right place.

I have only one "nice" car so I am particular about how it looks. I appreciate your reply/advice.

Or take your car in and tell them the CEL flipped on and have them run a diagnostic check with their computer. I would follow them and if they do anything other than whip out a ruggadized calculator with a big connector on it tell them its alright.

They should have a handheld device that allows them to check for codes.

Obviously you haven't had a CEL on so it will come up with nothing. IF they charge you don't take it to them. . .if they don't its a pretty good chance they aren't out to cheat you. Some will charge you just for an estimate on how much it costs.
