That rotor was out of the 15hp motor, the stacked one was a complete motor that apparently had 2 or 3 of those in there, but he wouldn't let me take it apart.
The complete single rotor 15hp motor was about the size of the normal 8hp e-tek motor.

That's the basic idea, except not using magnets/coils arranged on the outer surfaces of each rotor. Instead, you're using the outermost area of the face of each rotor, putting either magnets or coils on it, then facing it off with part of the housing that has the opposite.

If this will help you imagine it -

The rotor will go between each of the red "things" in each housing section.

The Etek is based on a Lemco design that B&S licensed. I think Lynch is still selling the original Lemcos, which were more powerful.
