Those are good numbers for a mostly unmodded car--even in Houston. You drive mostly freeway, right? Pretty flat ground, yes? What techniques are you using?

Black and Green will be rebuilt over decades as parts die--until it becomes a different car. Goal is only 60-70 mpg at posted speeds. I'm not trying for highest possible mileage.

Calculators: standard deviation, Ohms Law, & drag HP losses.

yup very flat around here so its easy to stay at a constant throttle posistion. I keep my speed between 55-60 (staying closer to 55) Draft rigs when i can. Then I can EOC for almost a mile getting off the highway. my work is next to the highway and my house is with in 2 miles and all back roads to it. the whole trip i only have to worry about one red light and you can see it coming a long way off so i can adjust speed to catch it green or EOC to it and fire it back off st the rigth time because i have the light sequence memorized.

At such sustained speeds and with a car the color of black, a lawn edging airdam would make an immediate difference, seems to me, and it would look good. Cost is really low and installation is quite simple. Thought of removing the power steering belt? Taking out the A/C relay/fuse for winter?

car is too low for edging. I already scrap the front end on the driveway at home and at work. So it would only make it a few days. The only way I could would be to just do it on the front with no curves to it that way it has the flex it needs. The power steering I will pull the belt off and see what i think along with the A/C. I will do these after the next tank fill. easier to see the MPG differance after a tank rest.
