Hi,

I agree, this version is dumb -- I think only the young uns' will want it to look like this... Please take away all the extra goop, Toyota!

Notice the little "wedges" at the back of the rear quarter windows -- I think these are helping the aero.

You're right. It is butt-ugly.

Looks like a honked off little wasp. Quick! Get the can of lineman's bug spray and hose this thing down before it multiplies.

Somebody has been watching too much cartoons. This is the kind of crap that drove Detroit into the guardrail.

It looks like the Smart4Two has a teenage stepchild rebelling... it needs some piercings and maybe some vinyl decals.

Tough crowd

I think it looks neat personally. The front is a little awkward. I probably wouldn't want to own one though, I'd be willing to bet it has Toyota's trademark lifeless driving feel.

You realize that Scion's target consumer is less than 25 years old, right?

The whole point of Toyota bringing Scion into the limelight in the first place was so that Toyota could maintain traditionalism in their cars, while still having something out there that could compete and be moddable with no problems, and no background in automotive experience. You take it to the dealer, say "I want this" and it's done. Crappily, but it's done. And it's covered under the factory warranty, unlike aftermarket mods, which usually void the warranty.

Who are the most likely generation to mod a 4 cylinder "thing" that looks like a work boot or a smashed up trashcan, or a toaster, or a fish tank, etc... ?

20 somethings. Target acquired.
