Thanks for that. I think the challenge with both the Morelli and the ideal profile is neither one accounts for the wheels. The Morelli designed "banana" car had actual wheels (and engine cooling) and therefore is realistic. Obviously, the wheels have to be accounted for, and if outboard wheels are used, then the interaction between them and the main body need to be taken into account.

It's extremely important to look at the tranverse cross-sectional view of this form.If you're doing a body in white vehicle,you'll incorporate the elliptical cross-section ( you must ) which is part of the forms performance.
With respect to modifying existing passenger vehicles to this 'solution,' it's going to be hard to pull that off.
Otherwise it's great!
