mpg ratings old vs new

the old rating for my car is 18/30 the new one is 16/28.
Which one should i go with? i have been using the old just to try and make things more interesting. should i change the rating in the garage?

The new ones reward the masses for driving like asses.

The old ones were easily attainable with sensible driving.

The consensus on this forum is to use the new MPG rating. Like Frank, I prefer the older MPG rating, but I use the new one.

My car by the 'new' rating system supposedly gets 17/23 mpg.
Model 1 Vehicle Characteristics
I got 34.8 mpg on my fill up this afternoon. The new rating system as it has been retroactively applied to old cars is BS.

The original EPA for my dodge neon was idiotic, I think it was like 31mpg instead of 25... There is no way that you can get 31 just driving like the average d-bag
