Injector wiring tapping point confusion

Hello, I'm thinking of fitting a MPGuino to my motorcycle (Suzuki TL1000R) and I'm unsure where to tap into the wiring loom. It has 12V supplied to the 4 injectors all the time and uses (I assume) NPN transistors to switch on the low side of the circuit. My concern is that if I tap in after the injector (closer to the ECU) I'll complete the circuit and cause the injector to open. Therefore I think I should tap in to the wiring before the injector and create the completed circuit before the injector and this would leave it to be controlled by the ECU. Am I right, wrong or paranoid? Also can someone confirm the ohms of the resistor as 100K or 50K.
Cheers
Mike

12V/100k = how many amps? (hint: not enough to turn on the injector )

Hi and thanks for the reply. Yes, I hadn't considered that point, I was worried about the injector being on all the time.

Cheers
Mike
