Well, maybe NOT. It froze 3 times and reset it self 2 times in about 46 miles of driving today.

There's nothing else I can think of to try on my end so maybe there's just something wrong with the unit I have???

Reset 3 times and froze 2 times again during my regular (46 mile) commute (probably would have been more but I got frustrated and just unplugged it for the last 10 miles) and I can't find anything that correlates to when or why it happens.

Maybe I should just give up, but it's such a fun toy WHEN it works...

If I thought there was any chance it would solve the problem I would but I was very careful when I put the connectors on so I know the connections are good and they aren't touching one another, other than that I don't think anything else matters.

I also don't want to mess with those tiny connectors again, I don't think they would survive much monkeying around- I think I could buy new connectors at Radioshack right?

It reset 3 times today and froze 1 time.

Yah those connectors are kind of tiny. If you have an old computer it is the same plug as is on a 3.5" floppy, and there are usually a couple unused ones in a typical computer.

It would be good to try it in another car too, and you can ask amy to reflash it (send it back with a S.A.S.E.) and drive it around a bit.
