My Headlight Restoration Results

Hi, Sorry if I put this tread in the wrong place in the forum but I didn't know where it should go
But I saw something about restoring your head lights with toothpaste... I had a broken headlight so I figured it could not mess it up too much
So here are my results:

Cool. That's on my todo list. What brand of toothpaste did you use? I doubt if whitening matters, .

I knew a mechanic who used toothpaste, after trying many other abrasives, to shape lenses

Nice job, subscribing. I betcha toothpaste is cheaper than the headlight restoring kit you can buy at Napa. Was a buffer used, or was this done by hand?

How And What I Used

All I did was go out there and with my hand spread toothpaste all over the head light (CREST Cavity Protection Regular Paste) then after I got it spread out evenly I got a dry cloth and wiped it all off, then washed with soap and water to get any left over residue off. Obviously it didn't make the head light crystal clear but it did help some so why not just do it?

becha as little water and a "micro" buffing pad would make a ton of difference cleaning them up.... but, I too would experiment on a broken headlight

I think that's just fading with age. Happens to lots of cars.
