My Recumbent Thread - I found my 'bent

But first, here's a recap from the other forum of my research/opinion process

First it was between the Actionbent Rail Metro or Destantis beagle

Metro

Beagle:

Given those two options - Metro won

Then came the Challenge Hurricane for a much higher quality 'bent for a little more money - Sport in an amazing blue

This one beats all - Alas, it wasn't available.... But then, a not fully built up M5 Frame!!! Much cheaper, but again - not built - just the frame plus a few other bits...

Here's from the Adventures of Greg Blog - it would look like this, minus the extra transmission bits

Seller flaked out I guess

Then, I test rode a Giro26 Baccetta with hardshell seat

Very nice, but way to much money. The "tweener" handlebars are weird, at first, but in retrospect - they're nice and comfortable...

-----
so far, the Metro is still in the lead
-----

Then, this was found on Craigslist in my backyard! $50 too

But today... I bought this!!! A Challenge Distance (dual 26")

Sorry for the poor pics - this should be arriving within a couple weeks and I'm totally excited It even comes with a mirror, racks (rear and under seat) and apparently fenders too Components Deore LX for the most part

So I spend more than the Metro - but this isn't an introductory 'bent like the Metro and I get trigger shifters

cool 'bent!

I like the two racks, I never would have thought of putting a lowrider rack under the seat like that, but it looks like it would work like a champ with some small panniers.
