I would haul that part to a body shop and ask what them what it is. Or better yet if you are getting a new part, go to your local U Pull yard and pull it yourself. Then you wont care what its called.

Several front wheel drive cars have those...do not know the name but they help stiffen up the chassis. I drag race front wheel drive cars and have had such an item made for my 13 second Horizon because it kept ripping the radiator core support all up. When I went from a 5 speed with about 200 hp down to an automatic with about 100 hp I removed it. I would leave one in place if it was on the car originally.

Tried finding a name for the part, but couldn't so here are some diagrams that might be of use. The numbers are used to refer to measuring points, not to list to part names on a separate sheet (as I had hoped).

Well at least you know its part # 16 on that last drawing, that looks like the tool a body shop would use, therefore that part corresponds to a name somewhere .. I'll try and look it up for you too ...

There is a toyota parts viewer at this site. It covers the 2003 year. Vibe and matrix information should interchange.

So was it the transmitter (tria) on your wild blue. I have the little black box and the manual somewhere for its use, if you don't want to wait for a technician. I used to install them.

tria is A-ok (For now anyways)

That is Very god to know someone who installed them. The turn over rate for installers is crazy high here.

We actually just went over the FAP, and it is simply to slow for me to use. Then I used the phone as primary internet device, which loads pages nearley as fast as wild blue on 3G lol; then it quit as well ERRRR

At a friends in Covington for the weekend.
