Thanks to S Keith for pointing out that using less assist AND regen is a good thing. My hybrid battery is ailing, and I've been keeping the charge state high now, manually preventing assist and regen by using Calpod. Also, with less need to cause battery charging, I can EOC more often; that's a very powerful tool.. This week also had nearly ideal temperatures: the warmest I can tolerate without needing ac. The high humidity = less dense air, another factor in our favor.

Next tank won't be as good. I'm currently on a roughly 300 mi road trip to the NY City area. High heat and rain have taken their toll.

Congrats, that's fantastic mileage. I just got my highest ever too, for similar reasons. I probably have more lower speed rural driving than you do.

Awesome tank. Mine is a creature of habit and even with slight mods it gets 67-68mpg tanks. All the time, I got bored up updating it. Any other mods besides the Calpod?

I'm not complaining! Charlotte NC, a/c, parked outside, 60psi in the RE92s, deleted rear wiper, pulled the fuse and disconnected the power steering module and following traffic going 75-80mph with the two second rule for 19 of the 23 miles of my commute. Love the first gen Insight.
