new car

so after getting a new job farther from home i realized the f150 was gonna cost to much to drive every day to and from work. so i began searching cl for a small car and found a geo tracker for 850. so i went to look at it and ended up talking the kid dow to 500. right now it needs a little work but atleast its drivable and so far seems good on gas ill have actual mpg numbers friday when i refuel it.

Any more details? Is it a 5 speed or auto? 4WD or 2? Year? 16 valve engine or 8 valve?

It's good to see another tracker on the site

Here is mine

razor02097 its a 95 1.6 16 valve 4wd 3 speed auto it has 140k on it right now its got a ghetto 4 inch lift in the rear and a 1 inch spacers in the front with 30 inch tires im pulling all that out to replace it with a combination of lift parts to suit my needs throwing 31s on it and calling it good suspension wise. the power steering pump went bad on the previouse owner so he just pulled the pump and left every thing else so im gonna get a manual steering box for it this weekend

22/24 mpg for a '92 2WD. Not bad. You could probably hit 30 hwy with some aeromods.

I already have a thread started with ideas for an aero hatch...

Here is my grill block made from aluminum... Not a big improvement but the coolant temp stays steady on the freeway now.

An uncle of mine had a 4-door one (Suzuki Vitara) with the 5-speed manual. With a Volkswagen 1.6IDI Diesel swap it got 42MPG all-around without any other mod.

i actually stumbled on that thread when i was researching trackers you did an awesome job on it mine is no where near as rusty but still needs some patching . first thing i need to do is find a set of coil springs my front are sagged out pretty bad. and find a pair of arms so i can move the ball joints forward to stretch the wheel base a little bit.
