Hello guys,

I'm excited about joining this forum. I have an Audi A3 TDI and would like to hear about ways to save gas from those of you who have diesel engines. What techniques used for gas cars are not applicable to diesel?

Is that the DSG / dual clutch shift automatic you've got ?
They're very efficient as automatics go, being automated manual transmissions rather than a traditional automatic.

They shift up fast, and have the TDi power to pull it off.

Thanks Euromodder, that is the one I have. Do you recommend turning the engine off at stop lights? (when I know I'll be stopped for more than 8 seconds)
