New guy with a cavalier in MO

Ive been creeping on here for a while reading about different driving techniques and such. I went from averaging 26 mpg to 31 in my last tank 30.6 before that just by driving a lot better. I havent done any echo mods yet but the car does have a K&N cold air intake and a huge muffler. So I guess those are both helping. Also i drive mostely highway which is definitely helping me hit 30+ mpg.
I look forward to the vast knowledge of this forum and I hope I can contribute someday.

Cold air intakes and fart cans generally hurt mpg more than help.

bhazard's right. I missed the part about the cold air intake on the first skim. My mistake. Cold air for better power, not economy.

Ya the guy before me thought it was fast. Lol.
You think it would be worth it to pick up a stock intake from a junk yard?
But basically I'm gettin 30mpg with mods that hurt mileage? That's awesome.
