Stumbled upon this forum looking for info regarding manual injection swaps for TDI motors. Lots of good stuff here and I think I've found a new e-hangout.
My vehicles:
2003 Ford E350 extended body van. 4x4 conversion. 7.3 powerstroke auto transmission. pretty much just used to go to Grandma's every couple months. get around 15mpg in mixed driving, 17ish on the highway.
1991 Volvo 940GLE. 16 valve motor. 110k miles on it. bone stock. Usually get around 23-25 mpg. My daily driver.
2001 Toyota Echo. Bone stock 4 door 5 speed. 125k miles. Usually get around 38mpg. Needs a tuneup and some minor suspension work - getting some thumping noise up front - suspect bushings on swaybar, but haven't had a chance to look into it. My wife's daily driver.
Looking into a small pickup and considering a VW diesel mill swap. I've been a stay at home dad and have not needed something that gets terrific mileage as I usually only drive a few miles per day hauling kids to/from school. But I'm looking at rejoining the workforce and this would almost certainly require a 35+ mile commute each way. And I could use a small truck I figure a VW diesel powered small pickup should be able to get 30-35 mpg with little difficulty.
Welcome. TDIs are great, I drive one and would like to get one (VW, Toyota or otherwise) into my Toyota pickup.

Lost track of them once we gave up the Tennyson building. They are still out there brewing though.
