New guy from York, PA - Fuel Economy, Hypermiling, EcoModding News and Forum

Hi, my name is Doug Cohn and I’m from York PA. I just signed up on the site this week. My car is a 2012 Ford Focus SE Hatchback. I opted for the five speed manual trans as well as the winter and sport packages.

My daily commute takes me between York and Harrisburg via Interstate 83 and is 46 miles, round trip, in length. This particular section of I-83 is full of hills and can be a bit of a challenge in the fuel economy department. I was able to squeeze 28 MPG out of my previous car, a 1999 Honda Accord.

Lots of good info here and I'm looking forward to picking up some tips and tricks along the way to help me boost my MPG in my new ride!

I've only been able to take a quick look at both thus far. More detailed examination to come for sure!
