new guy's intro

Hello everyone,

I have 98 BMW 318TI. I love driving but I hate the cost of fuel. I hope to learn a lot and apply as much as I can.

v/r

Chris

Welcome to EM! My wife always wanted a 318TI. I'm wiki-ing your car's specs :

BMW Compact - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Quote:
1996-1999, 318ti: 1896 cc, I4, 16 valves, 103 kW (140 PS; 138 hp), 180 N·m (130 lb·ft)
Curb weight 1175 kg (2590 lb)−1290 kg (2844 lb)
Definitely has potential with the small displacement and decent curb weight.

Is it a manual or an automatic?

Welcome to the site Rogue. What kind of mileage are you currently getting with the 318?

Daox,

I am currently getting 26-27 mpg. Compared to others on 318ti.org, I am little under average of 30-31.

MetroMPG,

Thanks for the welcome and advice for the first step.
