A new kid in town ;-))

Hi, Listers!
As a "newbee", I begin to introduce myself...
I'm 54 years old, but no especialy proud of it, I love cars whatever engine they have, , Motorcycles (I'm the proud owner of a 1993 Suzuki VX800!), I like Sci-Fi movies, Pink-Floyd, and every thing going fast. I'm sure that, with the help from each of you all, I'll be able to improve my knoledgment!!
Last but not least... I'm French (nobody is perfect)

Welcome to Ecomodder, Mongolefier. Do you also own an automobile? What engine and transmission do you have in it? You Europeans have many fuel-efficient choices that we cannot buy in the United States.

A Little tune-up...

I said (and I really think I'm too old to change my mind!) "I Love running fast", and I certainely won't feel guilty! Running fast do not mean inevitably increasing the pollution rate! the very first speed record took place in the very late 19th century.... on an electric car!! The real challenge to come, will be to keep our mobility/freedom without any fossil energy. You can try to go faster and faster riding a bike, a horse... or even a skate!
The help I certainly accept is the one whitch will help me to save energy!
My goal (dream!) is to buid a small but efficient electric car... and running as fast as possible

It would be too tempting to own a Mercedes-Benz 500SL. Avoid that one .

Yess! In fact this car will be a "TOY" not a comuter ;-)) A beautifull object to own! One thing for note: using such a car in the "cruise mode" (not as a dragster!) would'nt burn much more gas than my "Renault". I hope that this list will help me to adapt a responsible "way of driving" and consuming. The car that will replace my RENAULT will certainly be an pure Electric one (three new models will appear very soon!). The actual energy crise should teach us to change our daily behaviour not to negate the past and its technical inheritance... One can militate for a cleaner world without falling in a fundamentalist war...The main key world seems to be: Responsible!

First step is to enter your vehicle in the garage, and begin tracking your energy consumption.

Then I would start with the 100+ ecodriving tips. (Notre moderateur tasdrouille (Martin) a traduit cet liste en francais aussi, si tu veux.)
