post your idling L/hr consumption and....

post your idling L/hr consumption and if you have it readily available no load per hour fuel consumption
@2000, 3000, 4000 rpm

Please post: engine type, idling rpm (state lowered or stock), and any mods that might effect consumption: eg, no ps no ac belts etc

Thanks

Ill start with mine:

civic ek1, d16y4, 1590cc, no ps, idle speed lowered to 720rpm.
.71 l/hr,

edit I re calibrated my mpguino and I believe it to be more accurate now. So new figure is .63l/hr at idle.

Also I tested at 2k rpm ...3...and 4k here are the results:
2k, 1.5l
3k, 2.6l
4k, 3.8l

I plotted this as a graph, please note my math skills are rusty very rusty but it appears it appears to be a linear graph or very close to it, at least up to 4k rpm I didn't test higher I should have but I didn't want to make anymore noise pollution.

I'd still like to get the idle speed down, I managed to get it to drop to very low rpm while I was water injecting, don't ask, the mpguino was reading .45l/hr! Although at that low rpm it wasn't smooth enough, but still I should be able to get close to that figure with a stable idle.

I measured mine a while ago, before I removed the power steering.

2006 Accord V6, J30A5, 2997cc, stock(at the time), 700 rpm(stock, will have to verify actual rpm with scanguage)
1.32 l/hr

EDIT: Idle speed spec is actually 750 rpm, mine seems to hover right around 770 rpm. I have since brought out the the GPH gauge again after removing my power steering and have seen as low as .32 GPH(1.21 l/hr), but most of the time it sticks around .34 GPH(1.29 l/hr).

Suzuki (Geo/Firefly) G10, 1.0l, 0.45L/hr. Hot/warm air intake keeps idle speed and consumption down.

It's interesting to see others consumption at idle, I geussed my idle consumption initially and used it to roughly set my mpguino, ended up being very close.

Low Idle consumption is also good for key on coasting, I don't generally turn my motor off.

I have to remember to test the no load consumption as rpm rises. I'll be going for a drive tonight so I'll remember to check and record data. I did my valve tappet clearances a few were on the tight side so hoping to see some improvement at idle if only a tiny one. I might have to block the tb by pass hole in order to further lower my idle speed. Potentially that could mean .2l per hour savings seems worth it, as I do a lot of engine on coasting.

Edit I checked and adjusted my valve clearances and advanced my timing unsure of exact degrees , this seemed to show no effect to my idling fe.
